I didn't particularly care for Tapatalk, but it sure beats viewing the site on mobile. Plus I really liked the notifications. Any plans to add Tapatalk support back when issues are resolved?

yeah, the mobile site is really poor for forum usage, an app for the forum would be cool, but this will cut down my usage of the site drastically

Well this is incredible disappointing. This is going to kill my forum usage a lot. As others have said, the lack of mobile site really makes coming onto the forums a pain if I'm on my phone, and really no fun to use. I'm really sad to see it go this way.

Man I spent all day raging at my phone trying to make Tapatalk work thinking it was a problem on their end. I'll be using the forum a lot less now too unfortunately. It's just too difficult to keep up with everything on my phone without the app.

I appreciate your input right away regarding that it has happened, but is there any chance you guys can also provide continued feedback as well?

For those of us who primarily use the site throughout our day, and our phones are the only option, tapatalk was a godsend (especially with the number of forums I try and keep a handle on). Losing that is going to be difficult.

There have been good questions asked (a mobile site, a dedicated app, a supported alternative to tapatalk, even if our desires matter), but we haven't gotten that continuous feedback from you - our admins - and honestly that just increases frustration.

Anyway, any form of continuous communication on your part will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This is the worst forum news to me. So sudden and without warning. Tapatalk is superior to the main site in keeping things in order, and especially notifications. Total bummer now that I won't be getting alerts from the ebay & Amazon deal threads, and other subscribed threads. For a fact, I'll be online less, as I relied on my phone while on break at work during the day, and anytime while away from my PC. Please bring it back when security concerns are taken care of, or create a dedicated app for the site. Thanks.

A plot against me.
I literally avoided Tapatalk for years. Years. Yet, last week I finally tried Tapatalk after YEARS of avoiding it. And ya know what? I liked it.
Then this morning, after only days of using TT, and enjoying it, it constantly wouldn't connect. I actually thought it was my phone, my WiFi, my internet, my login...etc. For eight hours today I blamed me. Haaaaa.

I wish there was a blu-ray.com OR Tapatalk memo addressing it, cuz I only stumbled upon this news in this forum via Google search.

Unhappy

Today has been painful. Even though I love all the information on this site, and love participating in various threads, without Tapatalk access I will probably have to bow out of accessing blu-ray.com from my cellphone. Sorry, but I know there are others who feel this way. This move Has just killed the joy of being part of the community and has made accessing the site a painful task rather than pleasure.

Thumbs down

This is a huge disappointment, my forum viewing will drop drastically too as I absolutely hate trying to figure things out on the site itself while using my only way of internet (mobile). Tapatalk was the easiest way for me...

This news is truly disappointing. I've grown to really like, if not depend on, the Tapatalk functionality for the majority of my interaction with the forums. I regularly buy digital movie codes from the trade threads, and Tapatalk made doing those deals from my phone an easy experience.

There's no telling what goodies I've missed just from this functionality being gone for a day. There are many digital movie codes that don't come up very often, either because the movies aren't really "hot" anymore or the codes exist in limited quantities (The Lion King for ex.) so being able to quickly get to the latest posts in those threads enabled me to get a lot of codes that I would have otherwise missed out on.

What I don't understand is, if there were security issues with Tapatalk, why not roll out a mobile-friendly version of the forums or at least have that ready as an alternative before pulling the plug on the Tapatalk integration? The most upsetting thing to me isn't that Tapatalk integration is gone; it's that it got pulled without warning and no similar alternative exists.

I've been trying to use the forum on my iPod as if u was on my laptop the last 18 hours or so. Google search for the forum and log on.

I gotta say, having to zoom in to be able to skip to the next page of a thread or when viewing threads in as unfortunately is a real pain in the @$$.

Please tell me someone is working in an alternative!!

Yep, if there is only non-mobile browser support, count me out of the forums. Too much of a hassle. Disappointing.

Well I won't be on the forums anymore during the day - tapatalk was great for easy reading, forum does not display well on mobile. Hopefully a mobile version or something else will be coming out soon.

I. Hate. Scrolling. On. My. Phone!

Seriously sucks!
99% of my time visiting this site was through tapatalk.
I may have to join HDNinja after all.

The last few days we have received some strange entries in our server logs that we don't like and have never seen before, after investigating a bit we've found that the source is Tapatalk. After disabling Tapatalk the strange entries have stopped. We are really sorry and we have every itention of enabling Tapatalk again, but not until Tapatalk has fixed the potential issues.
