I just got the German steelbook containing all three films, and I just wanted to warn/confirm; the first film look atrocious. It looks like an old digital transfer with way too much DNR applied. The old dvd looks better in some respects because it doesn't seem to have been DNR'ed into hell.

On the other hand, Pusher II and III look great. Clearly HD-scans of the 16mm-films. Lots of grain. My guess is that there just doesn't exist a proper HD scan of the original film. The dvd seems to have been taken from low-res scans of the 35mm blowup as the 16mm look isn't preserved very well.
