It's so beautiful but yeah you never know what it'll look like as time passes.

If someone who might still have that special edition blood bag Itchi the Killer dvd can chime in on how long something like that lasts.

Yeah, but that's not filled with liquid.

FWIW, when Third Man Records did the liquid filled 12" a few years ago a lot of people had problems with them leaking.

I had it in my cart and was able to get right up to the end of the checkout and then I balked. Now I see what it's going for on eBay...kicking myself. Not so much because I wanted to flip it, but because now it's REALLY unaffordable and I'm becoming more and more obsessed with having this totally needless style of novelty record!

I've got plenty of colored vinyl too, but as another re-pointed out, liquid filled is where my curiosities lie.

http://mondotees.com/blogs/news/1210...h-blood-record

"I use a special type of resin to seal the records which has kept my oil wheels sealed without leaks for years. Also, I am not using water inside the records, so the viscosity of the liquid and the fact that it is air tight assures that the liquid will not evaporate. Hopefully that will calm the skeptics a little."

LOL..at first glance I thought he had the lp in a dishwasher

I really like colored vinyl but at 225 I thought it was crazy and I would probably never play it. For those that bought it just for the resale on ebay it looks like a smart move. As far as we know from the article some have lasted over 2 years without an issue. There is no note on how they sound and playback should one decide to actually listen to it.

If you use a heavy cartridge, will the Alien acid ,gel, shoot out all over your table?

now listed at 799..

I have to wonder what the Prometheus one will finally sell for. Some are in the 70's right now. Not gel but sold out except for black version.

I really like it. I am a fan of Mondo soundtrack LPs. Not all of them as there are so many now and not all appeal to me. Aliens is a good one as well as Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. Star Trek II the Wrath of Kahn is another goodie. Mondo claims that they go through great lengths to deliver the best sound from their LP's. So far I have no complaints of vinyl quality nor sound.

I have their Oblivion OSt and it sounds fantastic! I also have their No Tomorrow 7" OST from Turbo Kid and it is great! I have been mulling the idea of buying the Aliens OSt because it is one of my favorite James Horner scores (and movie). Hopefully I will be able to get it by next week!

I have Oblivion too..clear vinyl version..also very good and throw in Gravity as well for a rocking soundtrack.

Off MONDO topic. THE TERMINATOR is an awesome vinyl release. Put that on your list of must haves.

Yeah I have the silver T2 OST and I will get the T1 one day.

Off Mondo but that Interstellar OST has some serious bass in it and it is very dynamic!

Pre-orders are live for purple Coraline now. I'm not a huge fan of coloured vinyl but that one looks damn good
