It looks similar to the Alien: Covenant exclusive.

I am hoping it's a digibook but don't really think it is. With Dunkirk at $10 I decided to pre-order to get free shipping. Will hope it's a book and not a pak with a pull out book.

Interesting that the spine looks like a steelbook with the curved edges. I'm sure that's not the case though.

It's a digibook with a slipcover - like they did for Logan, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Alien: Covenant...and maybe a few others - I think there's one or two I'm forgetting.

Think I'll go with the best buy 4k steelbook on this one.

I own the Walmart exclusive Force Awakens, the Target exclusive Rogue One, and now the Best Buy exclusive Last Jedi. Spreading the love around

After looking at it again, I actually think it's a slipbox with the book & then the regular case, like the Mission Impossible Rogue Nation one they had a while back.

Though I would have preferred an actual Digibook, I wouldn't mind if they went with the slipbox route; what I don't want is a booklet affixed to the back of the slipcover with a dab of glue, then shrinkwrapped.

I don't know why you're saying that so definitively. Every single one of those you mention were from Fox. They're the ones that do those thin Digibooks with the slipcover. This isn't a Fox release. It's possible they could be emulating that style for this, but certainly noting definitive to prove that. Also as far as I know, those thin Digibooks can't hold 3 discs.

Logan had 3 discs. 2 discs were in slots inside the Digibook and then the black and white version bluray was just put inside the book in a paper envelope.

Ah, an envelope. I know the books themselves don't hold 3 discs.

That would be my preference for this release. They did that for Prometheus 3D too. Much prefer that over the Alien: Covenant style, although that seems to be the go-to style lately so I won't hold my breath.

Yeah, I dunno, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Keep 4K away from digibooks and digipacks w/book. These are expensive already. Now you add 4K and they will be even more expensive. Pass a law if need be.

Seeing as this is a Disney Release, I think it's safe to say this is going to resemble the Thor Ragnarok & Coco release from the last few weeks.

Could be, but there's still hope of this one being a digibook.

Personally I'm hoping for a slipbox + standard case + booklet like Target's M:I - Rogue Nation exclusive, but I'd also settle for a digipak + booklet like Coco got.

As long as it's not a digibook, I'm fine with anything really.

When might we get some confirmation on this? This is my first choice as long as the book isn't separate and just shrink-wrapped to the back of the package. If it fits inside the slipcase, then I'm ok with it. I don't have any Star Wars steels, so I don't want to start now.

It really looks like a slipbox that will hold the movie and a separate gallery book. It's discouraging.
