Default Import Collection From My Movies Pro

I've been using My Movies Pro 2 by Binnerup for a few years now. Is there a way to import my collection from there to here and the app?

Can you get a list of your UPCs from My Movies Pro 2?

The Blus seem to have gone through, the DVDs did not.

Default import collection from My Movies (how do you do this?)

So how were you able to import your My Movies collection into blu-ray.com?

How did you actually extract the UPCs from My Movies? Did you use the Deskop Application or the My Movies Pro app?

Please share with the community.

So I only noticed these questions now. Since it was almost 2 years ago.

I do have the paid My Movies Pro.

IIRC - I used the desktop app to export the list of my collection to myself. The file would be readable in Excel and there would be a column that would have just the UPCs. The thing was, for whatever reason it only read picked up maybe half at best of my Blus at the time (hence my collection is only 330 on here) and none of my DVDs. Maybe it's been fixed since then but I never tried it again.

Thanks for the response, dude!

I wasn't expecting you to respond so quickly. Before I logged in to check, I already found out a way to import a great deal of my own, though not all of them came through. However, more seemed to come through than your attempt so maybe this can help you or others...

_____________________________________________

Within the My Movies - Collection Management desktop application, navigate to File > Export > XML File.

An Export XML File popup window will display with different categories and checkboxes. The only ones that are essential, meaning the only ones that should be checked are:
  • Export Disc Titles
  • Export Movies
  • Export TV Series

All box options underneath and outside of these specific entries should be UNCHECKED.

Click "OK".

It will generate a large XML file that you should then open within Notepad++. If you don't have this fantastic program, please Google it and download it now!

Within the Notepad++ application, navigate to Search > Mark.

A Mark popup window will appear and within the Find what: text entry area, copy and paste this within the window: <Barcode>

Make sure you check the box next to Bookmark line and click the circle that says Regular expression.

Now click the button on the right that says Mark All.

Navigate to Search > Bookmark > Remove unmarked lines. This will then remove all the lines you did NOT bookmark so it will take some time to complete.

After this is done, make sure to search and replace <Barcode> and </Barcode> to remove all of the extraneous coding.

Go to File > Export and save it as a .txt file.

There will be extra spaces before the actual barcodes so you can open it in the regular Notepad application to search for one space and Replace All to remove all of them.

Now you are ready to copy what you have left, which should just be one column of barcodes into the Import interface of Blu-ray.com.

There will be quite a bit of duplicates so be ready to prune as needed.

Default Import Collection From My Movies Pro

Ive had the same error message using a Blackberry, but it only occurred when I used a 3rd party browser like Bolt or Opera Mini - when I used the native Blackberry browser it would work seamlessly........
