No fewer than 64 playables, and no cuts, only adds? Roster looks great!
Edit: 68 Confirmed, including some debuts like Daisy and Ridley (but not Daisy Ridley aka Rey).

Now if we can get a new Story/Adventure mode, and fix Classic mode (ie lose the forced difficulty drops upon continuing), we'll have an awesome game.

As far as characters and stages go it looks like they listened to what fans want, so I am hoping that the name lives up to being the Ultimate Smash in regards to play modes too.

Boogie2988 played the game at E3 today and said it looked and played identical to the Wii U game, essentially an enhanced port as I expected.

All unlock in game. They said all DLC characters are unlockable.

Not surprised, nothing wrong with building on what already worked so well performance wise. Hopefully they used the time that saved them to improve the experience that was lacking and truly did make changes to the way some characters play as said.

All previous characters, improved single player experience and tweaking of “clone” characters and final smashes all sound great to me. I always hated Fox’s final smash for example.

That’s fine, since many of us Switch owners never bothered with Wii U.

I'm cool with it too. The only time I ever played on the Wii U was at my ex girlfriend's place anyway, always preferred 3DS version.

As expected the game runs at 1080p60 and 720p60. No surprise as the Wii U version hit 1080p60.

Fingers crossed for something similar to Subspace Emissary this time around.

I would not get my hopes up. With the sheer number of characters in the game, I doubt they have time to add a whole story mode. Plus, Sakurai stated that he doesn't want to do another story mode because the cutscenes would just get posted on YouTube anyway. At least, that was his reasoning for Smash 4.

He could at least do an Adventure mode like in Melee. Anything except that awful trash we got in Smash 4.

Just means it’s the same engine, that doesn’t make it a port. Otherwise you could say Majora’s Mask is a port of Ocarina of Time.

They’re pretty much the same game. (Wii U and 3DS)

Solid Snake is going to be voiced by David Hayter. That's big for me.

I’ve never played a SS game and don’t know who DH is. Is he the voice actor from the games?
