Default Tron Legacy

Just watching the blu now. PQ is great, AQ is excellent.

My word, this in HDR with a full Atmos soundtrack? I could go for that.

A real gem this movie.

I love this movie, but the way they did the “entering the Tron world” works best in 3D imo

Thought I posted in this thread? I am SO interested in this coming to 4K UHD and having an atmos and DV would be great but fine with regular HDR as long as it's a demo title I'm happy

Wasn’t a huge fan of the movie but would definitely buy on 4k.

Yeah, I’d probably buy this in 4K HDR if it came with an Atmos soundtrack.

Disney is weird about catalog releases but I love the 3D version of this film and showcase it a lot in my theater

Do worry this is not a "seller" in their assessment (it was just a pretty noteworthy title on BD because of 3D), so even when they do loosen up into releasing catalog, this could find its way down the totem pole than I personally think it should be.

But who would welcome more to be so wrong than someone who really wants it

One of my favourite films of the 2010s. This would be a day one purchase for me.

Maybe it was the amazing IMAX presentation (and most treasured memory of a cinema visit), but T:R has always been more of an experience for me than a film. It's the kind of thing that cinemas are built for. I'd snap up a UHD like that.

I rewatched it recently on my projector (115") in 3D and gee what a fantastic experience. The sound and music is just great too.

This, plus Dolby Vision, and Atmos would be a reference disc for me. I love this film.

Disney so don't expect DV.

Not the biggest fan of the film but visually this was made for UHD/HDR/WCG, it's a no brainer surely.

Have we heard any whispers of when/if the Tron series will get a 4k debut? These are at the top of the list for me.

Below are screenshots taken off my Epson 9400 (6050) and are ‘merely’ 2K. I can only imagine how good it will look in 4K.

It suffers from what a lot of movies like this suffer from, turning one of the main characters into a god zapping people with orbs of light. It’s way overdone, but I like the movie on average more than the “safer” movies Disney is hung up on.
