Fincher's most underrated film. Though I think Zodiac is his best.

Definitely gonna pick this one up and upgrade from the current blu-ray.

Yeah, the Steelbook is the same worldwide; the Japanese Steelbook just has a slipcover (not a slipbox) and a photo booklet that's only a few pages.

Worth getting the Steelbook for half the price somewhere else if you want it.

This is the disc art I was referring to

It was so convincing people thought they were actually getting a pirated disc.

The actual BD arts had a few different variants. I know my BD movie disc has Harriet on it, can't remember the art on the bonus features BD.

Didn't even realize this. Looked at my copy and my feature disc is just a picture of a forest. Lisbeth is on the supplement disc.

It’s not a remake of the Swedish film. It’s another adaptation of the novel and it’s far more faithful and true to it than the Swedish film is. The Swedish film changes the character and look of Lisbeth from the novel so much she almost isn’t the same character.

I have a feeling most people didnít read the book who praise Rapace so much. Yes, she is great in those movies/miniseries (however you want to catagorize them), but she seems to only be inspired by he character rather than being the character. Mara is Lisbeth jumping off the page onto the screen.

The Fincher version even ends the same way as the book while the Swedish one has some bizarre Hollywood-style happy ending. So strange.

Fincher’s ending works better for a one-off anyway. Cold, depressing, perfect.

Didn't they shoot like five versions of the car crash toward the end? Possibly one where she shoots the gas, causing the explosion? Could've sworn they did.

There is so much incredibleness that I am really eager to revisit in this movie. I loved Karen O's collaboration with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their rendition of "Immigrant Song." I actually prefer it over the original from Led Zeppelin (probably a very unpopular opinion).

Thank you!

I am so tired of people calling Finchers version a remake.

Although to say Finchers version ends the same way as the book is not quite accurate.
