No but your obviously failing to comprehend how business works, and I really dont have time to explain cost, profits, margins, estimates, actual's, and ebita to you.

Please tell me how 15 was more successful. The game that just had all its dlc's canceled, director fired, and SE just posted a 33 million dollar loss on. Please. Enlighten me.

Tell me why 9 is being ported when it sold over four million less than 8. Tell me about Crystal Chronicles was more successful than 8. Go ahead. I'm waiting.

That's right. You can't. Because you're full of it. 8 was, and always has been, wildly successful for the company.

First off the news broke yesterday regarding the financials after my post.

Quote:
The new DLCs were being developed by Luminous Productions, game director Tabata's new studio within the company. Only hours prior to the announcement Square Enix Holdings reported an "extraordinary loss" in finances through Luminous Productions - amounting to 3,733 million yen.
So at the time of my posting yes XV was still a success. As I don't have the financial sheets in front of me its kind of hard to explain. But im going to guess SE hid the financials from the 10 year development cycle inside Luminous productions.

I assume the Switch versions will go down in price? If so, I’ll wait since I already have them for PS.2, PS3, PS4 and Vita.

That is fantastic cover art....way better than the US one

But on the flip side, the Japanese art for X/X-2 is the lesser of the options in my opinion.

X/X-2 and XII getting physical in the UK. X-2 needs downloaded. What’s the status on them getting bigger capacity cards to market? I know they were delayed but have they ever come out yet?

I hope that cover art for X/X-2 isn't final, it doesn't mention that a download is required for X-2 anywhere on it.

I was going to get this on Switch, but I might end up just getting it for PS4. It's cheaper and none of this silly download crap.

No, the cover doesn't mention a download. They'll end up pissing off a lot of customers that don't know a download is required for X-2.

Switch cover has no mention of a download:

Unlike the Vita version (that also required a download for X-2):

Sometimes that stuff is on the back. Do they have a back scan yet?

Even if it is on the back it should still be more obvious. Many online retailers will not show the back cover and many customers won't look at it when buying it at a store. This is especially true if they are buying at a place like Target where it is in a glass case. Additionally depending on where it is on the back cover it may sometimes be covered by price stickers.

I hate it when anything requires a download but most Switch games have a very obvious logo to warn people about it.
Here's the Wolfenstein II cover for reference:

You'd think it would be uniform. That Wolfenstein one is hard to miss.

So there's the answer about the higher capacity cards. 64GB originally slated for second half of '18, now 2019.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 could easily fit on a 32GB card (the PS4 version is 23GB). But Nintendo is way overcharging for those and publishers are not willing to buy them. I expect 64GB cards will be even more overpriced when they launch so barely any publishers will use them.

https://www.usgamer.net/articles/fin...ummer-of-a-bug

Quote:
Kotaku's Jason Schreier confirms Final Fantasy 9 is "the same port that Square had put on PC and PS4, which itself was based on the versions the publisher developed for iOS and Android." That comes with some good news, some bad news, and some worse news. Good news: There are high-res character models and an option to speed through battles. Bad news: The menu fonts, clearly developed with mobile in mind, are uglier than the hind-end of Kuja's silver dragon. Worse news: Square Enix didn't fix a notable bug native to those ports.
Quote:
However, it's disappointing to learn Square Enix left in a significant bug that plagues all the iterations of Final Fantasy 9's modern ports: The field music resets after every random encounter, something that's not supposed to happen. That's a shame, given Final Fantasy 9 has a lovely overworld theme.
