This would be nice but with how bad the compression currently looks Iím not sure it would be as exciting as it should be.

Itís not HORRENDOUS or anything. I mean itís definitely HD and all. But the problem is that an active grain field tends to be very hard to handle for weak compression algorithms, so all the grain just looks like a garbled, blocky mess. Itís watchable, but for films of this kind I want much better. Netflix and Prime look vastly superior.

The worst is grainy B&W movies, but, for $90 a year, i'm not complaining. I'll probably watch 250+ movies a year on the channel but I would love to be able to buy my favorites on UHD!

A lot more that 10 I'd like to see but number one would probably be 'Days Of Heaven' - always surprises me the way some people fawn all over the current blu. It's a DVD-era transfer at the end of the day:

All those caps prove that you're incorrect. It's from an IP and not the negative, but it's hardly "DVD-era" looking in the slightest.

It's probably an older scan, but it's leagues better than the DVD. While not perfect, it's still a nice enough looking disc, IMO.

Don't get me wrong, the current blu-ray looks good for what it is but a film that beautiful really deserves better..
