Only 3 of my top 10 are on UHD (Suspiria, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Close Encounters). Something tells me stuff like The Fearless Vampire Killers, The Color of Pomegranates, and The Yearling are never gonna make the leap to 4K, so my top 10 is gonna be far from ever making it, haha.

ha I hear ya. True Romance and A Bronx Tale I don't think make it and at this point the way Warner is ignoring their catalog I don't even think The Last Samurai will make it either. I could see The Departed, Godfather and Jaws get the treatment though

Wow. Incredible news. Casino, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction on 4K. All I need is Heat and Boogie Nights and my favourite 90’s movies will all be on the format.

Yeah, I have 2 of my top 20 (Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey) right now. I'm not gonna hold my breath until Pasqualino Settebellezze and La Grande Illusion hit the format and make my life complete.

Spielberg is already over represented on the format at this early stage. So I'd not be surprised to see a fake shark in the 4K waters soon.

Hopefully "Reservoir Dogs" follows soon - it needs an upgrade the most!

This was a few years ago already mastered in 5K and in Dolby Vision.

Think Lionsgate will handle this.

But it's not "real" 5K

[Show spoiler]
I've heard a lot of good stuff about Boogie Nights. I'll hold off on seeing it until it gets a 4K release.

Did Universal bought the rights to the film or something?

As someone who's trying to buy less movies, they're certainly picking the ones I actually want. Pretty cool.

P.S. I watched Heat in 4k HDR on the AppleTV and the HDR was pretty non-existant, very disappointing. Probably one of the reasons it's not being put out on disc. A lot of the streaming exclusive 4k HDR movies I watched had almost non-existant HDR actually, which is interesting.

For sure. Itís a great year for film fans who have adopted the format.

I heard itís not that great. But I also heard the JW3 streaming is significantly different from the physical disc so hopefully that is the case with Heat, should we ever get a release that is.

It will. They will realise eventually the vast majority of enthusiasts are not going to ditch physical.
