You guys are taking a VERY optimistic approach to your predictions! Especially with Paramount.. Id be happy if we get 5 total movies from them in 2020.

I should have put Ghost in there. I highly doubt they are going to skip the 30th.

And I certainly hope they don't as well. I love it.

If Crank (2006) can get a 4K Blu-ray (which that movie was also shot on a lower resolution than 2K), then we may as well have 28 Days Later on UHD even though I do technically understand it may or may never look great due to the film's cinematography unless of course Fox/Disney decided to DNR the crap out of it.

Sense and Sensibility, 25th anniversary next year, is in 4K SDR on Netflix (and it looks beautiful, at least as beautiful as it can for 4K streaming), so I hope UHD from Sony is a done deal. Can't wait!

This year is the 30th Anniversary of Christmas Vacation. I am betting/hoping that Warner Brothers releases it next year.

It was shot on compressed mini DV tape, so I don't think there is anything to DNR. I only had the blu-ray of this, but even a blu-ray might have been pointless on this one relative to a DVD (other than lossless audio, and the ending that was actually shot in 35mm).

Surprised to see Demolition Man appearing more than once in these lists. Has it been hinted or something? I did see it in the theater as a kid and thought it was fun but probably haven't watched it since the 90s.

Large format films should look great on UHD. I think there's only been 2001 so far. Anyway here's a few:

Ben-Hur (1959) MGM Camera 65
The Alamo (1960) Todd-AO
Spartacus (1960) - Super Technirama 70
El Cid (1961) - Super Technirama
Barabbas (1961) - Super Technirama 70
Lawrence of Arabia (1962) - Super Panavision 70
Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) Ultra Panavision 70
Cleopatra (1963) Todd-AO
The Fall of the Roman Empire (1964) Ultra Panavision 70
Lord Jim (1965) Super Panavision 70
Star! (1968) Todd-AO
Patton (1970) Dimension 150
Ryan's Daughter (1970) - Super Panavision 70

I wonder if we get any of that lot this year?

I just want Shawshank in 4K 1.85:1 with a solid transfer that does Deakins & Darabont justice.

I would really love a remaster of "L.A. Confidential" since the current BD master is really old and quite DNRed...
