Default Will Netflix ever release "The Irishman" on Blu-ray? Or UHD

Will Netflix ever release "The Irishman" on UHD Blu-ray? Is there a precedent?

edit: or UHD?

Not many Netflix films have been released physically, but since Netflix isn't the production company, it's possible... eventually. I'd guess that movies have some sort of clause where it's only on Netflix for a certain amount of time to get their investment back on acquiring it, and then the production studios can release it or not.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. We will see True Lies and the Original Star Wars trilogy on Blu-ray before Netflix’s releases The Irishman on Blu-ray. They still haven’t released any of The Ranch season on Blu-ray or The Highwaymen yet so I see no reason they will release this.

Maybe they will (though it'll probably take years), maybe they won't. Nobody knows.

No one can say for sure yet. I certainly hope so.

It would be a downright shame if it doesn’t come out on Blu-ray/4K.

Bird Box was not on UHD so I doubt this will be too.

Netflix should make a deal with Best Buy to sell exclusives of some of their select films and TV series. Bird Box doesn't have a UHD or Blu-ray that's just wrong. It's not like if they sold physical copies of their products the customers will just stop streaming. I do think they are ignoring a market that's there and some of their customers would also like a physical version to.

I do hope we get UHD or Blu-ray's of The Irishman and Dolemite Is My Name and Bird Box.

It's Netflix though so I don't see it happening.

I could definitely see The Irishman being released by Criterion.

Seeing that a couple of Marty's films have already been release on UHD format, I would think he negotiated this as part of the deal to get a physical home media release. Just my opinion..

I hope so, otherwise he canít keep complaining about watching this movie on ďphones.Ē If itís streaming only, he canít have it both ways if we donít get a disc release.
