Man, my turntable JUST broke. It was the top half of one of those old school bookshelf systems that had a Turntable, a receiver and a dual tape deck in it and an aux out for a cd player.

The last bit of vinyl I bought was the Donnas B!tch'n which is great.

I definitely want to get High on Fire's Blessed Black Wings and Megadeth's Peace Sells and Rust In Peace.

I've been trying to track down some Agent Orange as well, but to no AVAIL (yes...pun intended.)

Speaking of which, I just passed up on some AVAIL records.

Oh well...in a better time.

My condolances. I'd be devastated if my TT bit the dust. Unless the insurance covered it and I could buy another, that is. :-)

I feel your pain! My Revolver TT bit the bullit a while back and I'm still in mourning over it. It was with me for over 20 years. I still have it listed in my signature...

What are you gonna do to replace it?

My records from Acoustic Sounds arrived yesterday. I might try to sneak in a listen or two today (one of the minor upsides to being between jobs)... :-)

I have actually been fighting the urge to go full blown seperates with it.

I mean...fully dedicated vinyl setup.

I have been thinking about running a turntable into a preamp into a Mesa Tigris.

At this point...I just don't have the room.

Although not in your posession yet John, you are now the proud owner of a mint copy of Certifiable 3LP set by The Police.

The exchange today went smooth as silk. I'll send you a PM about it later this week.

Well, I'm buying vinyl without anything to play them on! Actually as soon as my speakers arrive, I'll make a decision on a table. Basically I'll have something by months end. Anyways, onto the purchases.

They both should arrive in about a week or so.

You are following in my footsteps. I have been waiting on the delivery of my expensive turntable for 9 months. It was delivered last Tuesday, but now I am waiting for the installation by the maker/designer April 25 (in working operation 10+ months after the order was placed). In the meantime, for the last 3 months, I have been buying a lot of vinyl awaiting the new turntable set-up.

Rich

Drew,

Kudos on the Eva Cassidy vinyl. She has a beautiful voice and wonderful interpretation technique.

Not so sure personally on the Marty Robbins, as I'm not C&W fan at all, but we all buy what we like. So enjoy it!

Thanks to Steve (dobyblue) my last vinyl purchase was:

Something tells me that after April 25th, we're not gonna hear much from you for a while. You'll be locked away in your music room enjoying your purchases at long last!
