Default Favorite/best hamburger restaurant you've been to

Went on vacation last winter in Mrytle Beach S.C. and asked the locals were the best hamburger joint was in town and they hooked us onto 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. BEST hamburger I've ever had-ate there twice on vacation. Just curious about other posters favorite hang-outs for burgers.

I second Five Guys. Bacon Cheeseburger with A1 is fantastic, plus their fries are out of this world.

Five Guys gets my endorsement too, with an honorable mention to my local Backyard Burger.

Isn't Michigan Northern? Cause we have Rally's here in Saginaw.

I always thought it was the other way around. Here in Fl we have Checkers, but in Ohio we had Rally's. I get funny looks all the time because I always slip and call it Rally's.

Being a franchise, I wonder if the owner can choose which name they can use? We have Checkers here near the Grand Rapids area and another poster near the Saginaw area has Rallys. Interesting....

1. Cheeseburger in Paradise - Lahaina, Maui
2. Fatburger -Los Angeles, CA
3. In - N - Out - Los Angeles, CA

For 1, get a Big Kahuna Burger. For 2, Fatburger with egg and bacon. For 3, Double Double with grilled onions and animal style fries.

Fatburger in Las Vegas
Fatburger in Chicago suburb Orland Park
Quaker Steak & Lube in North Carolina near Lowe's Motor Speedway

If like beer with your burgers, Rock Bottom Brewery's are pretty damn good.

Culvers Double Butterburger w/cheese please.....awesomely good.
Red Robin Guacamole Bacon Cheesebuger....the ONLY good buger in that whole joint-$9.00 for a burger-give me a break.
Speeds Coffee Shop Speed Burger from back home-greasy hole-in-the-wall joint-but very good.

Sounds like next time the wife and I are on vacation we'll have to check out In-N-Out and FatBurgers.
