Default Some hotels in the United States now have standalone Blu-ray players

Some hotels in the United States now have standalone Blu-ray players in all their rooms. And the Blu-ray players are connected to HD flat panel screens. This allows guests to play their Blu-ray, DVD, and audio CD’s in the hotel room. Also flat panel screens are getting larger in hotel rooms, and hotel rooms are getting more HD channels from either cable TV or satellite TV. There are no more hotels in existence as far as I am aware that have tube TV’s, they are all HD flat panels now. However there are some hotels that still only offer around 20-30 480i SD channels with no HD channels at all. Many hotels offer over 100 TV channels with many in HD quality and sometimes a onscreen guide. In addition, many new hotels have both wired and wireless Internet. While older hotels only have 100Mbps Ethernet networking jacks, some of the newer hotels have CAT5e, CAT6, or higher wiring in all rooms that offer 1Gbps networking. While doing an Internet speed test in some hotels on a wired connection, one might only see 90Mbps-100Mbps download speeds. However more and more hotels are offering 1Gbps Internet speeds for those that plug their Laptop into a wired Ethernet jack which is normally the same wall jack that contains the landline phone jack.
