Not really, exclusives are great but the limited hardware and fps of the ps4 can't be placed ahead of a good pc. Often times the exclusives end up on pcs anyway and look and run better.

Zelda is the best exclusive game this generation so far. Leaves anything exclusive to the PS4 in the dust.

Graphics + FPS do not an excellent experience make.

PS4 exclusives rarely end up on PC.

PS4-best exclusives, best UI customization, best performance (standard)
One-4K UHD playback, mod/cross-play support, backwards compatibility
Switch-portability, lot of game variety, most fun to play on
PC-everything else

I like all the systems that have come out this generation. All of them have pros and cons, but I'll admit the PS4 is my favorite console this gen by a lot. Gotta love them exclusives

Such a provoking thread and only 2 pages of comments.
Tastes differ you know. I, for one, prefer PS4 though I like Xbox gamepads more and I really liked x360.

PS4 since Microsoft can't match them with exclusives and Nintendo can't match them with features or third party support. VR is also the most unique experience you can get console wise right now. Sony can **** off with this censorship nonsense though.

I don't consider PC to be a console, so it shouldn't even be in the poll.

Why? Does it somehow make a difference in your day-to-day life?

I think they all have a place at the table and do things better than the other systems.

Nintendo Switch - We love the Mario games; the portability is nice; it's just a fun system to play with fun accessories too

PS4 Pro - I prefer it to play most games on. Things look great, play great. Amazing exclusives too (Uncharted and Spider-Man especially)

XBOX One - I sold mine, but have been thinking of getting one again. I LOVE Forza Horizon. In my opinion, the Horizon games are good enough to justify a purchase of the system.

We still also use the 360 and PS3. The 360 has some really great kids games and I prefer the older Madden games/college football games on it. The PS3 is still used as our go to Blu-Ray player + we enjoy the Ratchet & Clank games too.

PC > PS4 > Xbox One > Switch

Aside from PC which is eternally the greatest platform, I started off this generation with a PS4. Controller is great with the only let-down being the flat triggers. The integration of a headset jack in the controller was a godsend that every console needs to follow.

I pre-ordered the Switch which Amazon delivered 5 days late without so much as an apology. The first night with the Switch I un-docked it then pulled the power cable from the dock and plugged it into the system directly at which point it died and had to be sent in for repair. 3 whole hours of use before it died. The replacement worked fine, Zelda BotW was great, but then Nintendo failed the same as it did with Wii-U. The analog sticks have the largest dead zone of any controller and Nintendo was ill-prepared with nowhere near enough games the first year.

I just bought an Xbox One X during Black Friday. The OS is buggy and required the console to be unplugged from the wall then plugged back in to get the controller to work properly (go figure.) Performance overall is excellent, back-catalog is excellent, but the analog sticks on the controller are too loose. First-party catalog of new games is mediocre at best, 3rd party games I already played on the PS4. It sucks to have a console this powerful with such a terrible controller and no 1st party games. Crackdown 3 better be fun. I'm now looking at 3rd party modded controllers to get something with some decent stick tension. I wish they would have just re-used the 360 controller.

I'm in the extreme minority, but I've always been an Xbox guy. I love Halo and Gears of War to death and I prefer the Xbox controller. I'm planning on buying the next gen Xbox day one and then the PS5 when it goes on sale. I don't buy into the whole "Console Wars" BS between Microsoft and Sony. Why not own both? Best of both worlds.
