Question Who here has a Sony HMZ?

I'm planning on getting one but I already have a projector with a 150" screen. Will this make it more immersive giving you a 'you are there' feeling?
Is it worth it?

I have the HMZ-T1.

Don’t. It’s a great way to get a big picture if you can’t go the projector or big tv route but you already have that. The effect is roughly the same as sitting 3,5 metres from a 100” screen though not as sharp.

For someone with a small tv this would be an upgrade. For you, it would be a downgrade. I bought mine to get a big screen experience during the daytime as I was unable to block out light in the room so I only used my projector during the evenings. In the end I just waited until evening if I wanted a big screen movie experience. More comfortable and better image quality.

The 3D is rather great though. Unlike normal glasses 3D this is actual REAL 3D as each eye is looking at their own separate screen. Zero crosstalk, zero ghosting.

Absolutely great, because of direct eyesight visibility of both OLED screens! No light filtration from 3D glasses.

You can also upgrade the 720P OLED images to emulate clarity to full 1080P 3D visibility with the help of Darbee technology. (I use 3 Darbee's in a chain to maximize pixel build manipulation, while eliminating strong signal artifacts.) I've used the HMZ-T1 for many years. It's a great tool.
