Default AR glasses as future display tech

Considering Apple, Microsoft, are doubling don on AR glasses over the next few years, I was wondering what you guys thought about the tech and if it can replace all screens we currently use in our day to day lives. Obviously in the context of this section, I am concerned specifically with HT screens such as projectors or OLED TVs.

With these tech companies suggesting we could abandon our tv screen and have a display the size of our choosing, if this tech makes it mainstream, surely the TV set is under threat?

I can't see it happening steedeel and it will also give the person wearing the glasses terrible headache if they are looking at a double source.

Was not that the main reason why 3-D died at home? No one wanted to wear glasses for a 2 hour movie, let alone using the glasses all day.

Glasses would be the real world as you see it with glasses with the ability to interact and view computer generated images on top. You can see the world around you and you are not cut off from anything. So no, I donít think the two compare.
