I don't want to adapt. *boo hoo*

I know what anime I like best, and companies are doing a miserable job at telling me they still produce it (assuming they are).

You're working on MI, KOR and UY? Are you with Discotek or just confusing people?

Confusing people. By "working on" they mean "hoping/pleading for".

I promise they do not work for Discotek, lol.

Who needs a US release of Ikkoku?

KOR, though, I would back real hard on Kickstarter.

I'd back any of them through a Kickstarter tbh, although KOR or Lum would likely be my preferences!

Me too. At this point, I have serious doubts that we will ever receive the physical rewards.

Classic anime series, good movie, would have loved to get the other movies on Blu Ray along with the OVAs. Though I really doubt I will ever see a Blu Ray release for the TV series itself.

It probably is uncommon, but I do know that both the newest "Lupin the IIIRD" (groan) theatrical features by Takeshi Koike were sold this way in Japan: you could attend a debut theatrical screening, and the Blu-ray was available for purchase at the theater (presumably on your way out). I also can't recall for sure but I think maybe the theaters that ran the premiere events were also Toho theaters? So maybe it's a thing they like to do...? I could be misremembering who ran them, though.

Indeed it was. Even FLCL 2 and 3 were done the same way.
