I managed to get the original Elite for nothing thanks to finding it in a Clarence bin for £25 each! Bought two and sold one for £50 so didn't cost me a penny lol

Probably struggle to get £50 for one now the new ones been announced.

I hope MS fixed the 'expanding' rubber grip thing.

Things wrong with my Elite:
1. Left shoulder bumper cannot be activated unless it is a 'straight on' press.
2. Left rubbber grip has expanded from my hand sweat; it is ugly but it is still attached to the plastic.

I like the new features into the Elite and I'll probably get it when it goes on sale; the damn thing is almost as expensive as the console!

Hope the new one isn't 8 lbs or whatever the original is - and I call B.S on the 40 hour battery claim. Will be fantastic nonetheless cause I do love my original elite controller overall

The PS controller does have a battery itís just built in. It wood have been better if they allowed use to buy a separate battery like we have been able to do with every other Xbox controllers.

I havenít run into your second problem with mine yet. I got it on launch day. I have heard this issue being brought up before so I know itís a thing.

Is the texture grip still intact?

This is the problem when you spend $150 million on R&D for the regular controller & then decide to modify it rather quickly without those tests. Hopefully they spent some time with V2 to sort it all out. The V1 Elite is blasted with negative reviews on MSís official storefront on XboxOne.

The texture grip is still attached; The rubber grip has expanded from the original size by about 10~15% therefore even if I re-glue the grip back, the dimensions just won't work anymore.

The design was good. I have ZERO issues on the right side grip; it's only the left side. The raw material used on the left side grip is different (I doubt sweat from my left hand is different from my right hand) or processed differently.

As for built in battery, I welcome it. I replace my rechargeables every 2~3 weeks and it is a chore I don't need. I'm sure one could continue to charge/play using the charge cord.

Thanks. Iíll be on lookout if mine expands.

I use mine wired. But.. I use an adapter which replaces the original battery pack so I ainít saving any weight.

So with built in battery I can see weight increase being an issue for some Xbox fans who prefer wired.

Pre-order for XEWCS2 (XBOX Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, a mouthful) is out.

C$230+13% Tax = C$260.

That's one heck of a price for a controller. I think I'm going to wait . . .

I already have Elite with broken LB + brand new controller from XB1X < maybe I could sell this one . . .

I ordered the Scuf Prestige. Never liked the Elite much. I didn't have any of the problems with LB or grips coming loose, though.
