Did I read correctly you are going 7.4.4? Crikey that room is gunna thump! No wonder you are treating the space so well. I'm trying to sneak sub #2 into my space and the wife is already giving me the stink eye.

Fun reading through your progress! Side note, congratulations on the new house! That's very exciting.

9.2.6

If I can fit another 2 subs in at a later date I will. For now 2 big 16" SVS Primes should be sufficient.

THanks, it's an exciting build, wife is addicted and already looking to purchase another section to do it again. Father is flying in on Wednesday and we'll be laying all the tiles downstairs (100m2 worth)

No updates on the theater at this stage. We move in this weekend to the house proper. ONce we are in I will have a look at funds and look to move forward with getting things going again.

I am collecting the gear in the coming weeks and will be using the garage (which we painted black, insulated fully with an insulated garage door too and carpeted) as temp HT.

Good news, got approved the finance from the bank to finish the theatre, including all the gear. Should be a couple of months and she'll be up and running.

Thank you, appreciate that.

The speakers, looks wise, have far exceeded my expectations. They look absolutely gorgeous.

Couldn't resist, I set them up in a temp area of the house. These are seriously, seriously, beautiful speakers. Cannot wait to get them into the room proper with all the acoustic treatments.

S.O.B one of the woofers in the fronts is buggered. Has a crackling noise and no real low end.

Ugh. That’s not good. Hopefully the exchange process will be simple and easy.

It will. We have a thing called the consumer guarantees act here. Basically protects the consumer from broken products.

Wanted to go with something a little different for the acoustic panels so get these samples from eBay. Nice pattern, creates a bit of texture. Leaning towards the lighter panel for a little contrast
