How long does it usually take for them to respond? I sent them an email during the day on Monday and haven't heard back yet.

I totally agree. While I absolutely love In the Cold of the Night (and super happy VS released it), it didn't seem to be a popular enough erotic thriller to test the waters. The edited on tape film will probably be a highly requested title, otherwise spending the money wouldn't make a lick of sense.

I haven't seen ICED but I'm not overly excited about it getting a BD release. No way it can live up to the hype. I have a few that I assume were shot on film and edited on tape but I probably wrong.

I enjoyed this one as well. Perhaps because of the lack of scenes with the killer, the rainy night when the killer grabs the slicker and sickle is really well done. It stuck out and in a way made the presence all the more ominous.

Has anyone here heard of/seen the obscure Argentinian horror film ALGUIEN TE ESTA MIRANDO A.K.A SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU (1988)?

"After participating in a dream experiment, four young adults set out for a weekend in the countryside. Strange events soon begin to occur and they begin to die one by one."

It's not perfect but has good, atmospheric cinematography and some decent death scenes along with a little sleaze. As far as I can tell it wasn't released outside of South America and is hardly talked about at all. It's just a shame there's not an english subtitled version; maybe VS could rescue this movie from total obscurity as it would fit in well with their other late 80's horror releases.

A couple of trailers:

Deathrow Gameshow may be my favorite VS release that I've seen so far. It's hilarious! I was laughing all the way through and that never happens when I watch stuff by myself.

Ive had to email them twice... little things both times but regardless they got back to me in hours both times. Try again? Maybe it was missed.
Ryan chimed in awhile back - he said dont feel like youre bothering them - its part of their job.

Very enjoyable offbeat humor flick that seriously doesn't get enough attention.

It reminds of the old zucker brothers movies like Airplane. Lots of rapid fire jokes, several funny things happening at once both in the foreground and background, wacky credits. I love it!

They seem to be back logged on responding to emails right now. I emailed them late last week and have not gotten a response. I believe others are waiting on a response too.

Hopefully when they get done with the shipping, we will hear something back.

I would love a VS release of The Last Slumber Party, it's one of the most WTF slashers I've ever seen.

I’m trying to fill some holes in my collection and have pulled the trigger on a few flicks I thought I wouldn’t care for (EVILS OF THE NIGHT, NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR) and ultimately loved. That said, I’ve yet to finish BEWARE MY BRETHREN. It just wasn’t working for me. I’m also eyeing the double bill of PRIME EVIL/LURKERS. I know Findlay is hit or miss, but I figure I’ll pick it up if I can find it at a good price. Anyone care for that one?

And out of curiosity, what’s your least favorite VS release out there?

This movie seems very interesting. There are 3 other south american (Brazil, in this case) movies that I believe could also be rescued by Vinegar Syndrome: Karma - Enigma do Medo (1984), Satanic Attraction (1989) and Ritual of Death (1990), all directed by Fauzi Mansur.
There are a lot of really great genre movies from Brazil and Argentina that are, unfortunately, completely forgotten: Horror, Sexploitation, Thrillers...

Saw Chris Miller recently and loved it as well. Picture quality was excellent and the slipcover was very nice, too. Anybody else prefer the alternate Spanish ending to (I guess) the American ending? And Marisol is drop dead gorgeous.
