Mostly used. I'll buy new releases that I really liked in the theater on sale for the first week but everything else I'll buy bargin bin or used. Used in very good to like new condition though.

I am a pawn shop haul fiend. I love going into those places and coming out with 4 movies for under 20 bucks with the faint smell of gasoline in the air, I just love it! I will buy from Best Buy day 1 if its a movie I am really looking forward to. I will also wait till certain movies that I want on blu-ray go cheap on Amazon.

MovieStop moved from my town but there is a store still an hour away.

Mostly new. I'll rarely buy used (and I only do it at FYE) - it'll have to a be a heck of a deal, or something I really want that's hard to come by new.

Mostly purchased new but if there is a significant price difference, I will go for Used Like New and Used Very Good.

I purchase new Blu's........but I usually wait for my price point. Although when blockbuster video started closing stores years ago I had a big jump start to my collection when they clearanced out titles for a couple of bucks each, some I bought for .99 cents!! Of course I had to repackage them from those ugly DVD cases.

I don't know what percentage used I buy but I buy plenty as long as they are in clean cases and the discs and art are in good shape. My favorite used deals I have found were $3.33 for The Santa Clause Collection and $5 for Thor 3D with the slip, both from local pawn shops.

Don't mind used at all. There was a used store that just closed in my area where within a week you could get new releases from the previous Tuesday for $14.99 or less and $19.99 for 3D. The discs, cases and slips were always in good condition.

I will say sometimes you do get a bum deal. Bought Despicable Me through Go Hastings, but never watched it. 3 years later I gave it to my sister who watches it and the discs gets stuck every time 23 minutes in. That, busted cases and not getting the right product tick me off about buying used online.

I have a few used but mostly new. I think used blu rays from my local video store are overpriced, I can often get them cheaper new, especially if I save. I've probably paid about $10 AUD on average for new blu rays.

If I can't get it new, I'll get something else.

I love taking all the new plastic crap, stickers, security tape, security plastic & UV stickers off of my media + of course disc check because I don't trust any studio to actually have the disc in there.

It's rare for me to purchase used Blu-ray's. In fact, I can't think of one that I have purchased. A few trades come to mind, but that's it.

I don't mind used. I mostly mind about slipcovers, so if it's got one, that's the important part.

Though if I can get something new I prefer it, because most of what I buy has Disney points with it (though sometimes you get lucky ant the previous owner hasn't used them).

Mostly new because I don't pay "Day 1" price. I wait for drops and it doesn't really save me much to buy used. I've got some good deals here on the forum, but my local pawn shops suuuuuuuuck. Can't hardly find anything there worth picking up.

I do buy used, but like you, I often do not buy on release day, so it is a lot cheaper.

New, I think used is for suckers who can't wait for a sale. I do sometimes like to go into the used shops which are generally all the same with the metal music playing, employees in black, smelling like stale fart to laugh at the prices. You can generally find new copies on eBay for cheaper or a dollar or two more than their used copy

Mostly used, and no new releases except for steelbooks, weird specialty titles that won't often see sales or limited edition titles I really don't want to miss out on (i.e. certain TT titles). But 75% of what I buy is used.

Like I said, I do used, but usually wait for good price drops/sales. I rarely pay more than $15 at the most. Typically more on the $6-$10 range, unless it's any Disney classics my wife wants. Those are made of gold or something.

New. My blu-ray buying has slowed down alot. I only buy a few titles a year. Star Wars, Marvel and DC movies mainly. I still check out the used places for CDs.
