Except that is completely untrue. They even state this several times throughout the franchise. No one gets to keep their body in Hell. Vegeta even talks about how it sucked being in a cloud after being killed by Boo. Freeza ended up being an exception after RF because Enma felt not having his body was not a valid punishment.

I mean yeah, you can make up reasons for it, but it doesn't change the fact that it goes against what was already established.

Nah, she disappeared because Toriyama just forgot about her. lol

Nevertheless, you would think she would have at least appeared at Tenshihan's school.

Launch was in the Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! She had more appearances in the 80s and 90s then most people realize even if sometimes it was just copying her design for other characters, but she's still included in Dragonball games. I know in DBZ Kai she shows up in the credits.

The only thing that has been retconned is the 10 Years Later bit. Pan will now have to be 8 and Bra 7.

That I can't help you with. I find Super to be hit or miss. The Black Goku arc was a hit, Goku hiring Hit to fight him was a hit, but taking like 15 episodes to get to the current tournament was a miss. I love Freeza's trolling though, so that was a hit with me. Freeza is always delightful to see on screen, especially hearing Nakao's voice.
Didn't Super start only a year after Buu?

Seriously took 26+ episodes to recap the 2 movies?.. I haven't been watching it but I've been reading the manga, which was surprisingly decent.. Does anyone here know how the manga compares to the anime?

Pretty sure that it starts a few months (if that) after Boo's defeat.

Right. The Battle of Gods movie took place 4 years after Boo's defeat, but Super changed it to be only a few months later.

The manga just finished the Black Goku arc, so all of them up to that.

The two tell the story pretty differently at times in sometimes drastic ways. For example, see how Zemasu is handled by goku in the manga compared to the anime.

I'm about to finish Kai the Final Chapters on Blu-Ray - whichever I am LOVING despite the in-house remastering- and now I can't decide if I should pick up Super Part One or not. Do you guys think they'll release season sets?

So did you guys hear the sad news about Chris Ayres? His career as a voice actor is pretty much over as he needs to have a lung transplant. So sad that this is happening to such a talented man.

Yeah, in Battle of Gods four years have passed since Boo's defeat.

In Super, it's 6 months, maybe a year by the time Beerus actually comes to Earth.

Super makes it impossible for the 10 years later stuff to now exist.

I-C, it's Dragon Ball. Super will probably come out in Collections that contain 2 volumes per set and then there will end up being big box sets sooner or later.

That's a real shame. He's so much better than Granny Frieza.. Wonder if Linda Young will start voicing Frieza again.

The basic story and end result is virtually the same. But they approach it differently in how they get there. Personally, I found that arc to have been handled better in the anime.

From what it sounds like, Greg Ayres will be taking over the role as he was already cast for Frost.

Given I initially thought it was Greg voicing Frieza in Kai, that's not a bad sub at all.
