Question Does anyone know of any 3rd party devices for playing active 3D on a 2D 4K TV?

With the apparent death of 3D with UHD TVs, does anyone know of any 3rd party devices for playing active 3D on and 4K TV? Just thinking theoretically, any TV can play a 3D blu ray if it just treated the alternating frames as say 48Hz, so in theory, you could have a device that would just de-3d tag the stream, and be able to send a sync signal to active glasses.

Edit: Sorry I've put this in the wrong heading, it should be under the hardware part, not movies. Can a mod please move?

There is something that will do something exactly like you're looking for. It's called the 3D fury.
Here goes the link for the page.

Always wanted to see someone test this with the new oled screens to see how the 3D would compare to passive tecnology.
This tecnology actually makes me wonder why panasonic and sony didn't go for active 3D in their oled screens. You can tecnically add 3D to any screen. Wether or not it is actually good is something I can't answer.

Thanks for that! I might actually try that out (on my current non UHD 3D tv), see how it compares to the inbuilt 3d. It will allow me to plan and choose better on my UHD set - means I could actually go for one of the current gen OLEDs without 3D.

It doesn't even spell blu-ray correctly, I doubt it is real.
