Default OLED Brightness Delay

Has anyone been experiencing a 'brightness delay' recently? For example, when you're watching something dark, and then it switches to a bright scene, it takes about half a second for the brightness to catch up. It's almost like a snap, where it just clicks up to the correct brightness.

This has only been happening recently, and I read that it might possibly have something to do with that latest firmware update. Just checking to see if anyone else is experiencing this too.

Here's Vincent's latest Youtube video that explains this very well:

Hmm, in the video he says it’s present on 2018 models. I’m assuming he means the B8, C8, etc. I have a C7 though and it’s happening on mine.
