Default 8K :: Japan

8K :: Japan
  • 'might' be interesting in 3-4yrs, what post(s) will be like (once displays are 'appreciated/evaluated' at home) - (mostly with SD/HD/UHD content)
  • 'might' be more to 8K and what it has to offer (all available display sizes) than recognized currently
  • 'maybe' - 'just maybe' display 'pixel density' will be 'considered important' - after all
  • 'Japan' :: do you really think that that country invested so much developing 8K because it 'does't matter?'
  • 'Japan :: 1969' :: that's when they 'committed/developed' HD (so, Japan has been the primary force for both HD/UHD)
  • 'Japan' ('about ten years ago') - fifty years after their original HD efforts :: committed to 8K/UHD (and, now they are broadcasting)
  • 'Japan' (8K content) :: they are 'serious' (they paid the studio(s) to 'create' an '8K master', that on 12/1/18, when they began their first day of broadcast, that 2001 (70MM) was/is available :: not only that, they have also commissioned an 8K master for My Fair Lady (70MM)
  • 'Japan' :: 'once again they lead the way'
  • 'Japan' :: do you wonder why, they skipped 4K/UHD, and committed to 8K/UHD?
  • i guess that UHD altogether, 'just doesn't matter' - many think that SD/DVD is 'just fine' still
  • 'for what it's worth'? :: when i first saw an 8K/UHD display, years ago, i positioned myself some 'thirty feet away' to determine if i could see the 'resolution improvement referencing to 4K/UHD :: easily, i could, and my appreciation of the 'improvement in resolution' was satisfying, 'to say the least' (it was an 85" 8K/UHD display, as i recall now) - "pixel-density" always mattered (at least to me, and i do so appreciate it - i am looking forward to when i have an 8K/UHD display to watch my content - SD/SDR - HD/SDR - UHD/4K - and, it will be 'as small as is available', not the largest)
