Default Xbox e3 2019 thread.

Press conference will be two hours long.

It's been revealed that the upcoming Xbox E3 2019 press conference will run for two hours, making it Microsoft's longest event in years, and suggesting that a lot of game announcements will be made. There's also the potential for a reveal of the successor to the Xbox One.

Actually, with Sony not having a press conference I would imagine there will be a ton of 3rd party multiplat games on MS' stage. This could be part of why it's so long. I think MS will "talk" about next generation at E3 but I don't look for it to be a full blowout of details. I think they will wait and have a stand alone event to do that. Then again, with Sony not being there MS might feel this is the perfect opportunity to lay out all of their next gen details.

I hope they reinvent Gears 5 somewhat.
Having the similar gaming mechanics from a game released way back when on modern releases feels.....outdated

CyberPunk 2077 has me tuned in.

Thatís about it. Nothing next gen would surprise me unless they go with Nvidia.

There will be something about Forza Motorsports 8.

I'm sure MS will reveal some of next gen details to match Sony's info.

FM5 drew me in to buy XB1 at launch. FM8 likely will not do the same for me because FM series has now become stagnant.

I might hold out for few months or even a year!

No. Gears game play is what makes the hardcore fans like myself keep coming back. I wouldn't mind changes to the campaign, but the core of the multiplayer shouldn't change too much. I still enjoy Gears MP more than any other MP mode, and it's still never trouble finding matches on Gears 4.

Gamepass coming to PC. Also moving more 1st party games to Steam as well as continued commitment to Win32. This current MS doesn’t care how or where people play their games or use their services. If there’s a way for them to make money, they will.

That's the problem with MP though. It'll keep the hardcore fans coming back, but it isn't new user friendly....

Gear 1, 2 and 3 were great fun back in the day and I was one of those hardcore fans, but Gears 4 didn't sit well with me. And that kind of shows with the sales, you look at the original trilogy and it sat about 6 million in sales per title, Gears 4 wasn't even half of that

Sometimes you need to evolve a bit

I definitely played less MP in Gears 4, compared to the past series. I think 2 had the most fun for me? Halo was pretty much where I played the most MP though because of my son being too young at the time. It might sound lame, but I’m wondering what new exclusive consoles are on the horizon. Doubtful they’ll talk about that at E3, but hope springs eternal, right

Phil Tweeted this out. 14 Microsoft Game Studios games at the show.

Quote:
Just finishing our final E3 rehearsal here with the team in Redmond. Feel really good about the briefing. Lots to show. We have 14 Xbox Game Studios games in the show this year, more first party games than we've ever had in the show. Fun times.
Hoping to finally see what The Initiative is working on. That’s MS’s California based studio made up of a lot of industry vets. We also haven’t seen anything about Battletoads since the announcement last year.
