I own a 55E6. It's in the bedroom where it's played about 1 1/2 hours a night.

I would NEVER place an OLED in my main TV room where it's on, probably, 12 hours a day. My wife turns on the TV in the morning and it plays HGTV all day while she works in the house.

in 2014 or 15, I remember driving 400 miles to Las Vegas to see the first 77" OLED when they first arrived on the scene. The set arrived at Fry's in January. I arrived at Fry's in March. There was a 2 minute demo playing constantly which had been on since first arriving. From 40 feet away, I could see the entire screen was burnt. It was very, very bad. The set was ruined but still contained it's selling price of $24,999.99.

Maybe today's OLED's aren't as bad as that Fry demonstration a few years ago but that panel is still burnt in my mind.

I own a 55 inch E6.

Our family mainly watches Soap Operas on it, cooking shows with the cook in center area of screen..
Mostly 4:3 full screens episodes. So peoples actors concentrate to central area of screen.

We watch no CNN, HLN etc news. No sports. No No Static images. We do watch VUDU, HDR10 disc movies time to time. Human Fleshtones the reds, orange, yellows burned in our E6. So now when human fleshtones traverses the 4:3 full screen area... Their fleshtones becomes Green. About 90% of this 4:3 full screen has OLED Burn in. On a youtube 100% yellow screen or Red or Orange... you see essentially a greenish boxes about size of a 4:3 screen. Very green HAZE looking.

I was at a huge HT store few days ago. Studying their 65 inch Sony A1e. It too had a huge hazy burn in central area as well. I watched a repeating Sony demo on it. The one with the Hippo walking along a river bank. On all sides of hippo is yellow dry grass. But a 2-4 square feet area in central screen turned that yellow dry grass green. Any yellow grass that moved into that area turned green.

Over the year at that HT AV Store... I never seen static images played, demo'd on that 65 inch A1e

Actually our E6 been Sizzling for lots of months.
Likely happening after 6 months of use(Heck. You can wear clothes with some Sizzle here or there and not notice it). It, the E6, just keeps Sizzling. More and more screen area every day. Like a wild grass fire spreading. Damn. I wish the E6 would catch on fire and Burn totally up. Maybe our house insurance would cover it. And least we get some money back. But for now... every day, every day more and more Sizzle.

And LG keeps acting Dumb on all this.

Sizzle is what you get. Not really Burn.

Each day Human Fleshtones are presented greener and greener.

It looks Yellow pixels Sizzles first. Then Red pixels Sizzles Hold. Then Orange pixels starts warming hot.

Funny Green and Blue pixels don't change. Maybe they are not Organic, not Die, not Sizzle.

Now Magenta pixels are a Crazy one. What's up with that? On your OLED bring up a YouTube 100% Magenta Screen.

Where I brought my E6... there was only standard warranty.
It was not Best Buys.

I'm looking into replacement with a Sony A9F or Z9F.
From Best Buy. Likely getting a 4 year Protection Plan.
Possibly 65 inch screen

Right now my main display is a small LED monitor and I am definitely going to save up for a proper flat screen. However I seriously think it would be in my best interest to save up that bit longer and get an OLED since I am really into deep, vibrant colors.

Are there any good OLED TV's that are just 50/60HZ with no "motion smoothing"? All the OLEDS I've come across seem to be 100+ HZ with frame interpolation. This would be a deal breaker since I absolutely detest the "soap opera effect".

Soap opera effect is 'optional'. Maximum refresh rate on oled is 120Hz but it can be adjusted for 24Hz common for movies

B8 here.

I preferred it on when I had a toggle between the two during a film. It brightened up the midranges I found and gave me more HDR "pop".

The way I see it, the TV has to do tone mapping anyway to fit HDR into it's brightness range, so it may as well be the dynamic version.

I am torn between the Sony A8G and the A9G. Would an extra $800 really make much of a difference at this level?

Good ^ question. Overall, I feel the A9G is the better choice and worth the extra $800. Some advantages of the A9G over the A8G are he X1 Ultimate Picture Processor and the A9G's Pixel Contrast Booster.

The X1 Ultimate processor improves motion resolution, better up-conversion of FHD content and color fidelity. Also since it's part of Sony's Master Series, you get better q/c, and the white point is accurately set at the factory.

So these are my feelings and as a serious a/v enthusiast I have been know to pay significantly higher prices for moderate enhancements. Somehow I rationalize the higher cost of the long term of ownership and feel it's a good decision as I get enjoyment every time I use the system. But as my life moves on and being in the business I now find myself upgrading much of my equipment every year or two so the theory of justifying the cost over a long term is just fooling myself.

Ok, need some help/advice if anyone can give it,

I own a 65" B6, and I am moving this weekend.

I do not have the original box, so what is the best way for me to move this TV?

I'm only moving about 10 miles away (not out of state/across the country).

Home Depot has a "TV Moving box", but that seems like I'll need to remove the stand to get it in there. Would it be ok for me to lay the TV face down on a surface long enough to remove that?

OR, are there any other methods/recommendations for getting it transported upright without removing the stand? I know severe sway/wobble is a factor I'll have to try to contend with.
