Here's my "home theater." Just a cart to keep the projector and player on, plus a big wall with no screen. Just my way of working with what my partner will allow!

In case if you did use your fireplace on a regular basis, the heat will have an affect and damage your TV in a long run. If you decide to use your fireplace, it's best to move your TV.

Hi guys! It’s been a long time but lots of updates the last few months. New house is being built now but I wanted to teaser share the new sub with y’all . It’s a Rythmik FV18 and it’s replacing a SVS PB12-nsd I bought 10 years ago. I’ll update gallery once the new house is done and the dedicated space is complete. Hope y’all are good!

Your home theater is very nice, but your subwoofer is way too close to your left main speaker. You should distance your sub a few feet away from your front mains, to differentiate the sound of the LFE outputting from the sub, to the bass coming from the mains, and giving it a more discrete, multi-channel audio.

Thanks Slim. But my frequency sweeps after some initial tweaking look great down to 10hz. Iím sure I can get it more than good enough in this configuration, in this room. This will more than suffice until the move in a few months.

Iím looking for advice on setup. The attached pics are my current setup. I was thinking about moving my TV against the wall with the mirror and putting my surround speakers over by the fireplace. You guys think this would be better? Right now I get some glare from the windows and the speakers donít seem like they are ideally set up. Also, would it be better to have the surround speakers facing forward (towards back of head), or sideways (poging at side of head). Thanks!

I still have some unpacking, cord management, and some finishing touches to do but the bulk of my home theater/gaming area is finally finished. It's just what I wanted, a nice mix of midcentury modern with a clean, more minimalist approach.

Moved in the new house. More to come, but just a quick snap of the front stage. 5.1.4 setup. 4 dedicated circuits, so plenty of room for incoming upgrades. The space is a 13x13 loft and it sure is fun ☺️.

This will be my "Hi to you all!" post so I wanted to share with you how my setup has been changing since I started till now. It's not much, but works for me (hope to add two Atmos speakers this year and finito ).
Enjoy!

2016 - Panasonic 50CX680 (after calibration), M-Audio HTS-700 5.1, and some old Denon but I don't remember the model.

2018 - Samsung 55MU7001 (with DIY ambilight ), Klipsch R-620F, R-52C, R-51M, Denon AVR-520BT

2020 - LG 65C9, Klipsch R-620F, R-52C, R-51M, Marantz SR5015, sub SVS SB-1000

Cinema mode

Back - added acoustic treatment. Ceiling, floor and window wall are muffled.
