I have had a Sunfire True sub for 7 years and am now building a HT in my basement and buying the EQ 12 for it, should be enought, but ever since i bought my first sunfire, This was the easiest speaker decision for me and never in doubt.

So I have had a Bob Carver True Subwoofer EQ 10 - TS-EQ10 since 2006 in my 5.1 home theatre system. It has always been amazingly powerful and no problems UNTIL today.
I was listening to a blu ray of X-Men-First Class pretty loud and then heard the sub make a really loud noise I've never heard it do before. It still turns on and see's the signal thru the rca input from the receiver but no sound comes out of it anymore. Did I blow the amps? Could it just be a fuse (but it still powers on) Drivers? Where can I get it checked out or fixed locally? I live in Los Angeles. Thanks ![]() |

![]() But I have been a long-time Sunfire fan... I used to have a EQ10 and upgraded to the 12 some time ago, and most recently I put the new Atmos in my bedroom. I love their gear! ![]() |

![]() Multiple subwoofers can be used to help limit modal coupling of bass frequencies to the room, through judicious placement of the subs relative to the room, each other, and the listening position. |

I just picked up a Super Junior. It is being used in my 2 channel room. I have it paired with a pair of PSB Image B4's. This little thing works beautifully with the PSB's. I have been listening to various types of music, and this little monster is a gem! Tight, quick, and clear.

Hi all,
I just purchased a XTEQ 8 That didn’t come with a microphone to set the eq. I’ve been playing with it a little and it doesn’t seem to be playing too loud. I have a 300w Velodyne that seems to be just as loud. I tried different settings with the eq manually and with it off with some differences but not a huge difference. If anyone has any experience with these please help. I hope I didn’t get a defective product. |

Hi - I have a 8+ year old Sunfire HRS8 Subwoofer that has developed a hum. I get the hum with no inputs connected, and I tried locating the subwoofer in different places in my house, on different circuits/phases/etc. I also tried different power cords (including a 2-prong one). I believe it's a filter cap. I've removed the 12 screws around the back, and even though I'm generally "handy", I cannot budge the rear plate out of the box. Iwas wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Do I need to remove the speaker?
Thanks! /j |
