The first half is mostly just world building to me. It's obvious Tomino wanted to get his World Masterpiece Theatre jag off and you just have to roll with it. Combining Gundams with pastoral 19th century scenery was always going to be a reach but you just go with it because at least it's different from the usual stuff.

Even by the end I'm not sure it all really makes that much sense. But I liked my visit to that world.

We know when we know. Not before. Asking again and again won't change anything. This thread has frequent summaries of what we know, and as soon as we get learned of something new, Asuras will make a new summary.

He was just making conversation. No need to go all Nazi on him.

Yeah it was more of a thinking out loud sort of deal. I know we don't know anything.

"Making conversation" only works when there's somewhere for that conversation to go.

Which series do you think have the most replay value? Not sure if I want to collect them all. Looking for some recommendations and will see if they interest me.

I am only a casual Gundam fan. I have only so far purchased my favorites which are 0083 and 08th MS Team. I watched half of the original 0079 TV series and couldn't finish it. The same with X. The only others I have seen are Wing, Seed, Build Fighters, Build Fighters Try, and IBO. I will probably pick up IBO when it comes out.

Well you can, you just have to approach it in a different manner. Also, not every post needs to be answered because sometimes things are posted just as a thought.

Give the original movie trilogy a try. I couldn't get through the tv series either, but the movies are great. I would also recommend Unicorn.

0080 and Thunderbolt are both great. Personally, I feel that Unicorn has some of the best animation and the worst writing the U.C. Timeline has to offer. The main character has no agency, the macguffin is lackluster and it relies on retreading old characters and plot points that we've all seen before.

Sunrise dictates what gets released, when it gets released, and how it gets released. I have no idea what their reasoning is, but they call the shots.

I thought the first season was good. The second one and the movie were a train wreck that turned the whole thing to garbage. Story and character wise at least. Still some decent fights if your looking to turn off ur brain.
