Thunderbolt takes place around the same time as 0080.

Basically, if it has a Gundam in it, it takes place at least after the first few episodes of the original show/movie since Amuro was using the first Gundam to make its way to battle.

Against the grain here, but I can't wait for the Zeta movies on proper blu ray, have and always will hate Wing, Seed, Seed-Zeta, I mean Seed Destiny, and Thunderbolt.

Mobile suits with 27 shields, gratuitous backpack porn, and a control interface that uses limb stubs, when we didn't get trackballs until CCA.

I didn't really pay too much attention to all of these gundam releases and now I'm regretting it. Do these sets ever go on sale or does rightstuf keep them pretty steady?

Unfortunately they really don't. I got Turn A Part 1 and Part 2 for $75 together (oddly, from Rightstuf, via Amazon Marketplace) and thought that was a deal. Better then paying 75 each at FYE!

They do have Gundam sales, but 99% of the time, you're going to get better prices from Amazon if you buy from their inventory or from the Marketplace. There is a guy on the Marketplace who represents himself as a RightStuf employee who often sells stuff way below their store prices and the regular Amazon price. I think his name is Sean or Steve. I just buy from RightStuf direct now, because I want to show my financial support, but most of my Gundam came from Amazon until recently.

How bad is the graphical glitch in episode 9 of 08th MS Team? Is it a big deal, or overblown by some reviews I've read?

It's some video glitch on the scene with the cat during an episode of 0083. It's apparently an error that was made when Sunrise initially remastered 0083 a decade ago, so it's permenantly part of the print now.

^ Yeah, this is basically RightStuf being stuck with whatever Sunrise happens to give them to release in overseas territories, so it's probably just something we'll have to live with. But it's not even something you'd notice unless someone told you to look for it ahead of time.

Since Japan is going to get 0080 on Blu-ray this August, can we expect to see it on Blu in the states sometime next year?

Hi everyone long time lurker here, the issue with 08th MS Team is a player compatibility problem. I was able to get a replacement from Rightstuf after bringing it to their attention on twitter.

Or in 2019. We'll get it, but it's anyone's guess exactly when.
