If you want a show that is all out action though, you might want to move else where.
It doesn't need to be all out action, I can appreciate a slow burn if I care about the characters, like Robotics Notes. (and in that case, I can even forgive a weak ending)

the pacing of Turn A Gundam is pretty slow.
Ya, I can definitely see why someone would prefer the compilation movies to the series

I'm sure it will be fine and hook me soon enough, but in the meantime I might finally get around to starting After War.

No one should suffer through the Compilation movies because for being Abridged, they sure as hell don't have the humor of an Abridged story.

I didn't think Gundam X was all that great. It didn't help matters that I hated Garrod and his stupid smoker sounding voice. The kid is supposed to be like 15 but sounds like he is a 40 year old.

Yup, it was that point I started asking myself "it has to get better right?"
Even ZZ didn't push its luck this much, not even Chara Soon

Hmmmmmmmmm, I think this time I'm just going to wait for the actual cheaper US release next summer instead.

Nobody said a protagonist had to be a role model.

I know it's hard to say since it hasn't been released yet but how do you guys think the domestic Rightstuf release of Gundam: The Origin will compare to the Japanese release video quality-wise? Rightstuf's release of Gundam blurays have been pretty good from a A/V perspective, right?

Rightsuf has already shipped out their copies of Origin to those who pre-ordered it. I have had my copy for weeks. I have not done any side by side comparison but it looks and sounds great. It is also on four discs so I would be surprised if there is any major differences between releases.

Not to everyone though.
They still haven't shipped mine.

I think they are waiting for Shin Godzilla to come in, since I ordered both at the same time.

That is exactly why ur copy hasn't shipped. They don't do partial shipments anymore.

Sweet! Zeta: A New Translation is finally getting a blu release. That announcement literally made me jump from my desk and look like a maniac to my coworkers, lol.

Perhaps not, but they should at least be a good person and not promote the ideals of genocide

Actually, I disagree. I don't think stories should be handcuffed to the idea of protagonists being "good" people. Sometimes it's interesting to follow the perspective of someone who isn't good, or at least more morally ambiguous.

That said, and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Kamille ever truly promoted genocide. He may have had knee-jerk emotional outbursts where he said he wanted to kill everyone, and as a soldier he killed a lot of enemies, but he generally had a sense of morality and argued against the senselessness of killing many times during Zeta and hated being a soldier.

I'm referring to when he said "the ones that need to die, are the ones who's souls are tied down by earth's gravity!!!" Aka old-types.
Maybe that's not what he meant, but that's how I see it
