I'm planning on pre-ordering the LE sets for IBO season 2 and 00 from Right Stuf later this week, but I've been trying to find out - if I join that $18 Got Anime membership, will it save me anything on these pre-orders?

I've looked around but could never find any recent information.

Yes. If you join now and order those you will save roughly $6 on Iron Blood Orphan and $10 on Gundam 00. Almost pays for the membership with one order.

My copy goes down to $106.87 with GotAnime and no coupons if that helps. There should be a lot of 5% coupons floating around someone might be nice enough to give you.

I got lucky and snagged a 10% off coupon and mine went down to $96.18 with membership+coupon.

Going to have to think about it. With the membership price included it doesn't really save me anything on this order, yet it would probably benefit me later if I buy anything else from them within the next year. It's not like I have much to lose since it'll save almost enough to pay for the membership.

I think a membership is worth it if you buy anything Discotek/Nozomi/Viz throughout the year. They can be worth it for Funi studio sales sometimes but they keep changing how those work almost every time and we rarely see more than one a year it seems like. Sentai stuff is almost always worth waiting for a deep sale now.

Hey. Got a question for you guys. Can you use the Rightstuf “Got Anime” Discount on the Gundam The Origin Collectors Edition Blu-rays? If so the subscriptions would be worth it for me this year.

It doesn't. I don't think it works with most imports.

In that case, anywhere cheaper to get them? Been hunting the old ones down on eBay. But don’t want V and VI to get expensive again on me. If I wait will there be a sale on them or anything? I thought I saw the others on sale once but decided not to get them at the time.

Changed my mind too late though and no my bank account is paying for it.

Sunrise, Legendary Announce Live-Action Gundam Film

It could be the overseas UC 104 production that was revealed accidentally during the Gundam NT presentation.

Honestly though, Gundam is an awesome live-action concept. Especially since you can basically make your own story that fits in the universe.

The major problem with this production will be that Legendary is involved. They'll sink millions into it, make a mediocre movie and wonder why no one cares.
