Indeed they get less, far less. There's also how many times the company with international rights isn't the company putting out the discs in Japan, so those putting out the discs in Japan get even less from international sales in those situations. Ex: FUNimation got Attack on Titan from Kodansha, but Pony Canyon puts out the discs in Japan.

Looks like we'll be getting Zeta on BR and ZZ will be DVD only. I'll be buying them both regardless.

ZZ came out on Blu-ray in Japan SIX YEARS ago. What the hell are they afraid of? Just let us have that shit on BD already

Zeta on Blu-ray? What the bloody hell?! The Zeta Blu-ray sets were re-issued like a month ago in Japan! Time to retire those Anime Legends sets.

Looking forward to Gundam Thunderbolt. The HGUC kits look snazzy. I should pick up some new gunpla.

So at this point, we can safely assume that anything without a proper dub will be DVD only.

So the follow will have a high chance for a blu-ray, in addition to Zeta:

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Mobile Suit Gundam F91
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny
Mobile Suit Gundam 00

Well that sucks. I own ZZ on BD from Japan, so getting it on DVD in the US is a let down.

Well the original movie trilogy has a dub and it still looks like a BR is unlikely.

It's unfortunately that all the ones we've never seen released here before will only get a DVD release.

I have a feeling they're going at this from a marketing standpoint as well. The ones that they anticipate will sell better would probably get a BD release.

I did say "proper" dub didn't I? :P I think the read somewhere, the creator hates that dub and that's why we haven't seen it in any previous offical DVD releases.

I just got an email from RightStuf that both shipped (Mobile Suit Gundam), though I wish they would have done partial shipping last month, because now I'll have close to a hundred dollars on my bill. If RS did partial shipping, like they used to, it would have been split between two months.

Not sure how everyone spends their money. But when I pre-order things. I make sure I set money aside (even if I plan to charge to a credit card). And not spend the amount. So it doesn't matter if it gets shipped out early or later. I will have the fund already to go.

True. But I just bought the Apple TV + game controller, the iPad Pro is coming out on the 11th and need to buy two, plus one pencil. So this month is gonna have a lot on my card. I'm not so concerned about the money, as much as I am my credit limit.
