I’ll still get the UK one for the physical extras, but it’s surely bound to be a good release, regardless.

Japanese audio, obviously. It will have the (in my opinion pretty bad) dub, but lossy audio- atbleats on the UK disc. If it really is the same, then it’ll be lossy too on the GKIDS release.

OK, my primary concern is it having the Japanese audio. As long as that's there, I'm good.

If it is the same as the UK disc, it’ll have:
Japanese DTS-HD MA 5.1 48kHz 16-Bit (source was 16-Bit)
Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0
English Dolby Digital 5.1

and maybe an LPCM 2.0 48kHz 16-Bit Japanese mix as well.

I’m just gonna leave the stats on the US sand UK editions as is, as I have zero confirmation on what’s on what.

I never saw it before but is the dub good? I don't have a problem watch it in Japanese, but seeing the trailer for the us announcement, the main characters voice is irritating. Can't stand when female va's from Japan speak like that.

It's alright, it is definitely not the best dub made by Manga Entertainment but certainly not there worst.

The new one- well, it’s better. Just don’t expect a 4K scan level of quality.

I shouldn't have been so brusque! Just wanted to point it out in case anyone was under the impression that the new US/UK releases would look like that.

I'm happy that Perfect Blue is out on Blu-Ray in the US. I can finally throw away my old Manga US DVD. That DVD looks so bad when you watch it on a modern-day TV now.

Dude before the blu-ray comes out sell your Manga DVD on ebay. I listed mine 2 days ago for $40 + shipping and it sold within 24 hours, plus I had a second inquiry on it. Crazy stuff!

^ I sold my Manga DVD on Ebay for $50 about a month ago too. I'd recommend selling it asap as the value is going to tank soon.
