Really hoping this means they are planning to offload their library to mondo macabro.

And, in particular, hoping this means that High Crime doesn’t get wasted on a mediocre release (wherever it comes from)

Speaking for MM, at this time we have no plans to do any more films from the First Line/Dorado library.

To be honest, I think most of the rights to the "big films" in their catalog are expiring in the next couple of years, including HIGH CRIME and CRIMES OF THE BLACK CAT. So making a deal doesn't really make sense.

Can you double check? HIGH CRIME and CRIMES OF THE BLACK CAT are their 2 best titles and neither has had a DVD release.

There's no reason to double check. Their rights are expiring and we enough on our plate as it is.

High Crime is definitely getting a release at some point in the UK from Studio Canal as it was passed by the BBFC in January.
