He claims to have everything, so that would sound like him.

But seriously, I don't recall that being said.

I think the Fatal Games rumor was from Vinegar Syndrome. But I'm really hoping the 1984 slasher film turns out to be The Prey. Or the Mutilator

Somebody over at horrordvds.com mentioned that Code Red's rights for The Mutilator are set to expire next year. Maybe then we'll finally get a proper release (hopefully from a proper company like Synapse or Vinegar Syndrome).

I'm hoping it's Fatal Games, one of the slasher titles I'd like Slasher//Video and Olive Films to release on Blu-ray next. Glad that Satan's Blade finally has a release date.

What's the word with this label? I haven't heard much since that initial announcement, and nothing has popped up for Satan's Blade yet.

Satan's Blade is currently slated for 02/24/2015 and Slasher//Video is being distributed by Olive Films. That's all we really know. I suspect we'll see preorder links popping up next month since Olive's January titles just went up a few days ago.

^ They also teased that they have another 1984 slasher movie in the works, but haven't said what it is yet.

Shock 'Em Dead was also announced a long time ago, sourced from 35mm, but it was never specified whether it would be DVD or blu-ray.

Yeah, I knew about the Olive thing. I guess I just expected the preorder to pop up earlier. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Contract for a new Slasher // Video title has been mailed, only a few more steps for this to be 100%. Spoke with The CEO and SVP of Olive Films today & they will assist me in acquisitions if need be, they're great to work with. Hint* 1989/90 //

Could be Shock 'Em Dead, which was previously announced.

Other possibilities within the genre (or at least close to it) from 89 - 90:
Blood Games
Blood Salvage
Dead Girls
Demon Wind
Disturbed
Elves
Freeway Maniac
The Invisible Maniac
Mirage
Moonstalker
The Night Brings Charlie
Offerings
Pledge Night
Psycho Cop
Return Of The Family Man
Rush Week
Savage Lust

to name a few...

I'd never heard of Satan's Blade, but after looking it up on IMDB I'll definitely blind buy this one! Love helping smaller labels and try to support horror films as much as possible.

I'm a child from the 70's and 80's...not sure how I missed this one.

You can scratch off BLOOD GAMES, FREEWAY MANIAC, INVISIBLE MANIAC, PSYCHO COP, RUSH WEEK, OFFERINGS, DISTURBED,PLEDGE NIGHT as they are all owned by one of the major studios. And DEMON WIND is not available to the best of my knowledge.

Who owns Invisible Maniac and Rush Week? Would love either of these to replace my custom IM, and poor RW, dvd.

I can't speak to the rest, but Freeway Maniac was a Cannon Films title and is with MGM... which makes it fair game for someone to license, since at least 4 different companies are currently mining the MGM catalog for releases.

I think Invisible Maniac is with Paramount via Republic Pictures.

Olive is distributing the Slasher Video releases, and they're one of the companies tapping into the MGM catalog, so it could be possible... just not very likely. Blood Games is also MGM, probably Disturbed as well.

With those crossed off, I'm rooting for Blood Salvage, Elves, or Moonstalker.

I agree, those are the three I'm hoping for. Elves would be ideal, but the idea of tossing my shitty bargain-bin vhs transfer DVD of Moonstalker would be a dream come true as well.

Default Slasher // Video asks for info from fans

If you have any slasher wishes for Blu Ray, and know how to contact owners of said films, you might want to send a pm to slasher video on Facebook.

Slasher // Video asks fans on their Facebook page for info on films and rights owners: " Bank says yes to multiple film acquisitions. If you have any specific films or know the info on who owns them, PM me."
