No criticism, wzollinger, but I feel the need to jump to Kathleen Turner's defence here.

What killed her looks was that she developed severe rheumatoid arthritis, an auto-immune condition, and the bloating and disfigurement she's shown is the result of side-effects of her medication. I say good on her that she's managed to keep any kind of career going.

That's all I needed: further proof I'm a bad person. I never even stopped to think her appearance may have resulted from taking Prednisone (or something analogous); I just presumed she was an inveterate alcoholic. Meanwhile, I'm getting increasingly fat and bloated (sans autoimmune disease), so I don't know why I'm so quick to adjudicate harshly.

SLC Punk, that's a good one, to which I'll add Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains, Suburbia, Decline of Western Civilization, and New York Doll. I'll come back to this thread later with a comprehensive list of non-punk movies I'd like to see on everyone's favorite HD format.

My list includes a few titles that has been already released in the US/UK I'm still waiting for in France (which apparently is far from being the most healthy HD market on Earth and as a consequence is more & more often treated like shit by foreign major studios).

01. Strange Days
02. Kill Bill : The Whole Bloody Affair
03. The Crow
04. Mimic (StudioCanal, please pull your fingers out of your ass, I'm tired of waiting for a domestic release !)
05. The City of Lost Children
06. Bram Stoker's Dracula (a real decent edition with a top notch transfer)
07. The Hunger
08. Birth
09. Stay (there's only a German edition with... German subs of course)
10. The Hidden (almost 30 years after its release, I still remember the quite disgusting alien scenes )

[Show spoiler]

As a bonus, I'd also add The X-Files, Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel The Complete Television Series.

For some reason, we are coming to the end of 2014, with 4K right around the corner and yet, some popular titles are still stuck on DVD....

Can't Buy Me love ( needs to come to Bluray as it didn't get a widescreen release on DVD )

Doc Hollywood ( Needs to released on Bluray as it too didn't get a widescreen release on DVD )

Jaws 2 ( come on now, self explanatory )

Selena ( Unbelievable this hasn't been released yet + non-anamorphic )

True Lies ( Humm, need I say more )

The Abyss ( Again, what is the hold up? DVD was non-anamorphic widescreen )

Honorable mentions
---------------
---------------

The Mighty Ducks Trilogy ( DVDs had extremely poor transfers / Non-anamorphic )

The Great Outdoors ( DVD release was non-anamorphic unless you got the "John Candy collection" )

Phantasm ( No brain'er)

The secret of my success ( Who doesn't like M.J.F )

None that I have heard (and it stands as one of my top 10 wish list films). You probably know it is released in France, and may be region free. Reviews (DVD Beaver) indicate the PQ is great, but not sure if it is dubbed, or if you can turn off the french captions. If it is region free, and you can watch the film in original English with no forced French captions, might just have to go this route.
