This should be something different for a mainstream horror film and something unique and fresh of being trapped in a flooding house during a hurricane to fight off alligators and all.

It's something different in the mainstream horror genre than another ghost film, another readaptation of a book previously filmed, another pointless remake like Poltergeist, another found footage film or another sequel/prequel/reboot/remake of an already dead franchise like Saw or Elm Street.

I'm all for something different and new as in the mainstream lately i love Get Out (despite it's a thriller than a horror film) and Quiet Place as those were box-office smashes and proving audiences do something different in the mainstream genre than those things i mentioned.

I'm with you, Hollywood like to coast on the familiar, so whenever they take a chance on something new I like to support, especially in the horror genre.

This seems right up my alley. I have always loved when-animals-attack movies.

This premise reminds me of the 2007 Australian film, Black Water.

I saw it last night. THe crowd seemed into it-it wasn't bad-better than I thought it was going to be.
