Aahhh the memories The Wall brings back... or lack of memories and a big hazy spot where they should be. I would buy this on Blu the moment it came out even if it was $50. The times I had as a wayward teenager!

This movie has to come out on blu-ray. With all of the animation and great music this would look awesome in 1080. Along with Live in Pompei.

Very possible given that Sony owns distribution of Pink Floyd in the US.

(I believe it's still EMI in Europe.)

I would buy it on release day and watch it many times.

I was tempted to watch my DVD version last night actually.

Exclamation Oh Yeah

I have been a Pink Floyd junkie for a long long time. My theme song while I was in Desert Shield and Desert Storm was "Wish You Were Here" (which actually is my favorite Pink Floyd album/CD). I love The Wall and think it would look and sound great in Blu-ray.

Default The Wall in 1080i on HDNet Movies

there is a channel called HDNet Movies that recently aired The Wall in 1080i. according to their fact sheet all movies shown are transferred from 35mm to high definition for broadcast, and as i watch my recording now i can say while it is not pixel-free (thanks time warner!) it is much better than dvd upsampled! so, keep eyes peeled for re-airings!

Don't count on it, they did film a few of the shows with the idea that they could do a concert film or used within the movie but from interviews I read the footage was very poor and probably wouldn't be released but you never know.

That's funny I'm listening to disc one of The Wall right now !!!

It would have been nice if more of Floyd would have at least been released on SACD but no..........

Maybe one day this will come to Blu but I want a high rez two channel mix on there as well, just to listen to.

Agree! It would be awesome to have PF's The Wall on Blu as well as Live At Pompeii(oop on dvd),Pulse and The Delicate Sound of Thunder(never on DVD!). Pink Floyd's one of the all time great prog-rock bands, let's get some Floyd on Blu,soon! As with the Beatles stuff,it will probably take a while!

I think it was last night...or a couple of nights ago that The Wall was on one of the HD channels. Man, that is one weird flick to watch. It totally compliments the music. Great album!
