Yep, they had a demo machine at Toys R Us that hooked me. I don't see why people complain about the cost of games today. That's like $1000 in 2019 money. I mowed a lot of lawns that summer...

This is alright; but what I'd really like far more than any micro-console are compilations for the games on modern platforms.

The problem with the Turbo back in the day was it only had composite out unless you bought an add on for RCA. I got a used Turbo a few years ago & the games look like crap on Modern TVs. If they can polish these games & have HDMI & have a decent built-in library.. All good.

Yes. Which could be done on a compilation disc just as easy if not more so as with a Micro-console.

Which ones? I've never actually played any of them but there's a dozen or so I'm curious about.

Funny thing: Jonathan "Johnny Turbo" Brandstetter was recently tweeting about how he and Flying Tiger Entertainment wanted to do a Turbografx micro or a compilation for awhile now.

Snatcher and the Pilot Disc were available in Japan, it would be nice to have those included

No official English-language release, and the PC remakes skipped IV; maybe because there were two versions.

I remember Final Zone II being equally "great" and having a catchy theme song!

True, a compilation or decent VC-like option would be better. I mean, I'm still going to buy these micro-consoles, but I definitely agree.

Well it is being released by Konami so I imagine they will include it, but I'll be surprised if it is released outside of Japan.

This looks awesome.

Price will be a huge factor on whether I buy this or not.

Turbo CD games had some of the best video game music ever. The soundtrack for Ys I & II should stand alongside classics like Zelda, Castlevania, etc.

I never had the TurboDuo, so I missed out on a lot of those later CD-ROM games. Any of those, like the hard-to-find Beyond Shadowgate would be most welcome.

But I just want to play Last Alert and relive the worst voice acting of all time. It made Resident Evil PS1 look like Shakespeare.
No it didnít,.. had to import it. The game was awesome. Difficult though because it was spoken in Japanese but at least the menus and written dialog were all in English.

Games were $80 a pop & I think the controller was $60.

Remember this is before Sega Genesis.

So every time I hear Sony Launched the PlayStation at $299, Iím like WTF are you talking about. It launched for $549.99 before tax from Sony Store.

Things eventually evened out around the 360/PS3 gen & around a year into XB1/PS4. Then we got hit with not 1 but 2 mark ups in price for ďanythingĒ game related.

The $60 games were nice while they lasted. Itís only tech. If you want a house here thatíll cost you a cool Million please.
