Default New Dolby Pro Multichannel Amp

Not inexpensive, I'm sure, but if you got the dough this would simplify installation. It comes in 24 and 32 channel flavors. This would give you the flexibility to slowly build your Atmos system; adding speaker channels incrementally if you choose.

my first concern is that they don't show pictures of the actual inputs and outputs on the rear. that's going to be incredibly important to people just as much as the front. perhaps even more depending on how everything is laid out for connectivity.

It's still just electrical impulses and wires. I've been using older Dolby processors in my setup for several years and have had to make my own cables to mate to some consumer gear. It's doable, and you need the component's wiring diagrams (most available online), but I understand it may be a hassle for most. This is interesting for the fact that it can replace up to 16 stereo amplifiers. The funny thing is 16 Crowns or especially QSC amps would probably be much cheaper LOL.

Edit: I just saw a quote on Youtube 10 grand for the 24 channel and 12.2 for the 32, which is about half what I expected. Also, they said Phoenix connectors are used along with Ethernet data ports, so very doable for HT.
