Great thread BD! It's about time that Odyssey got some love. I love the way you can buy upgrades for them and customize each unit to your liking. These units are a really good value proposition.

I just purchased an Odyssey Stratos dual mono amplifier to power my Sony SS-M9's in my 2 channel system. The amp is extremely solid - almost 70lbs, and the dual mono design is true - two power cords and all. The Sony's are rated at 4 ohms 300 watts, and this amp does the job, adn really makes them sing. I was told the speakers can dip down to 2 ohms at some points, and the amp shows no sign of bother. I would highly recommend the Odyssey line if you are looking for a power amp. The sound quality is out of this world.

Yes, I have a 2 Channel Kismet in a Stratos case for my main channels and a Stratos HT-3 for my cnter and surround channels. They are made with very high quality parts in the USA.

I never knew there was an Odyssey Stratos thread here. I own the stereo version from WAY back and it still rocks to this day!

I used to own a pair of Stratos monos and an HT-3 for center/surround duties. Great sounding amps built like a tank and heavy as one too

Looking at the construction pictures it looks a bit amateurish, not sure I like that the transformer is put in the back and the electronics in the front of the HT-3 for example.

Mains should be connected via filtered IEC routed on side towards transformer in front with power switch and then to rectification and the actual amplifier board as close as possible to the connectors. Probably not audible but its messy look at all those think wires flapping arround.
