Default Vintage Stereo Equipment

Just driving around and found a yard sale with some Sansui stereo equipment. Bought the set for $70. Here are some of the models I got, let me know if I made a mistake on purchasing these.

Yes they work.... Kinda. The turntable needed a stylus, found an OEM one in eBay for about $20 it sounds waaaaaaaay better than my Sony TT, the only thing is that the auto start/stop function doesn't work, also the light next to the arm doesn't come on.
The tuner and Cass. Player work flawlessly, the EQ is the one that's giving me problems. It crackles at times and I have to move the balance knob a bit which causes it to crackle more, but after doing that it works fine, don't know how to use it very much so I'm not using it.
Now the one that really blew my socks off was the amp. coupled with the Sansui t.t the warm sound trumps the previous set up I had. Hooked up my old Sony 5 disc cd player and oh man! Can't get over how good it sounds.

The "crackling" that you hear is caused by dirty slide & pot contact points. Get some DeoxIT from Radio Shack or WalMart and spray it in the contact areas.

I can attest to this as well, I think what rpatt said is just what the Dr. Ordered
When I got my ADC eq, it was the same way but after cleaning the sliders with that spray..........I'm lovin' it!

Very nice. Seeing your cassette player makes me think about pulling my Yamaha KX-1200 cassette player out of mothballs and adding it to my 2-channel setup. I still have a lot of cassettes in storage.

I have a K-540 pressed into service in one of my stereo rigs

And what happened to getting that Home Theater Gallery thread up and running ?
