Is there a headphone amp in existence that has these features I listed below and is home theater friendly?
Dolby Digital True-HD Dolby Digital Dolby Digital Plus DTS DTS-HD DTS-HD High Res DTS-MA LPCM Remote HDMI inputs Last edited by PCFan; 11-09-2018 at 10:17 PM. |

A headphone amp main function is to provide sufficient power to headphones. There is no headphone amp that does audio decoding.

Huh. Yeah headphone amps power sound to headphones. You can GET an amp that also has a DAC, but a pure amp just provides sound out from whatever is bringing audio INTO it.
Furthermore, headphones aren't a multi-speaker system, just stereo. So you might be asking if you can get binaural audio to simulate surround sound. Look into the Audeze Mobius, or Smyth Audio Realiser A16. A home theater receiver can do that work for you, and plug into the headphone jack... But it will just do "plain" stereo. |
