Only in the movie. The movie’s opening scene, showing Christine moving along a Detroit assembly line, wasn’t in King’s book; screenwriter Bill Phillips added it.

The book never mentions Christine being evil inside the factory, as I think Stephen King was trying to convey that it was Roland's obsession that made the car evil.

Yes. The film is different from the book.

Yes, and they were talking about the book. That is why I didn't get why you were mentioning a scene that is exclusive to the movie.

Sorry if I misunderstood something.

Also, last night was the first time I realised that the "shitter" guy was the same actor who played Old Man Marley in Home Alone. Mind. Blown.

I'll never be able to experience Home Alone in quite the same way again.

I read the novel in the eighties so I am not clear on it.
I could have sworn that Christine had a history before Arnie that was similar to the opening of the movie.
I'll need to dig it up and check it out.

I started watching this last night. Movie for the most part looks absolutely fantastic, and much brighter and more colourful than I remember it being when watching on ITV all those years ago. Another great release from Sony.

I own the Indicator blu ray and was very impressed with the transfer. Anyone think this is going to make it over to the UK or should I just not waste my time and import the US version?

Considering that the Indicator release is still fairly recently; it will either be awhile or Sony could pull a "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and release their own release despite the Twilight Time release still being readily available.

It's as great looking as I hoped it would be. This is one of my all-time favorite horror movies.

I laugh, though, every time I see Buddy Repperton. He looked like he was held back at least ten years.

This is now in my top ten UHD releases.

Off/kinda on topic: Does anyone know if the Indicator release's LPCM 2.0 is the original theatrical audio or a downfold of the 5.1 remix?

I'm gonna say theatrical probably, purely because if it was not I'd remember the shitstorm that would have happened in the Indicator thread.

Thanks, guys. I've been considering getting it just for the original audio alone. 👍
