Default Digital Movie Poster

Hi!

I want to have a digital movie poster 'Now Playing' frame near the entrance of my theater.

My basic questions are:

1. What website or sources are recommended for the highest resolution original one sheets?
2. I don't have room to hide a PC I don't think bc I will be needing to mount into my concrete wall...can I just download the file I want and use a thumb drive on the TV?

Thank you for any guidance!

My wife makes high-resolution Blu-ray covers, and she just finds posters/images wherever she can find them online. Just be sure to make sure that the resolution of the images is 2000+.

You can use a memory stick/thumb-drive and plug it directly into a TV's USB port, and you should be able to view them in photo mode, pausing on the one you want. This is without all the really obvious stuff like fiddling with settings on the TV to disable any screensavers and timeouts, along with OSDs.

Thank you! Yes, I don't need or want animated / cycling posters, just want a static poster for whatever I'm showing. I appreciate it!

There's a thread somewhere on here about high res movie posters... I'll see if I can remember where.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s+movie+poster

I did this for a while with an older monitor but the cost of electricity killed it for me.

I have a couple of old raspberry pi boards and a bunch of old monitors kicking around. There's a couple of threads over on AVS forum detailing some well done feature rich software that can make for a very nice digital poster array that can even lineup with certain rigs to dynamically change based on what you are actually screening at any given moment!

But every time I get the itch to go down that rabbit hole, one of my kids shoot it down as an enormous waste of energy for something that will only really be seen by our family...sigh...

Another good poster resource I use a lot...

http://www.impawards.com/

and a media player to serve them up if you want a bit more control than what plugging in a usb drive to the tv directly can provide.
